Chapter 39: The prohibition of pride and definition of it
باب تَحْرِيمِ الْكِبْرِ وَبَيَانِهِ
Sahih Muslim 91 c
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed
He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise.وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ " .
